GRUFF SIDE OF THE BLUES… The release of the new album has sparked unbelievable interest and sales from around the world.
Here's what they're saying…
THE DENNIS HAYS PODCAST INTERVIEW WITH THE
ARTISTS BRINGS A WHOLE NEW DIMENSION
"I bought the album after hearing some of the
songs as downloadable MP3 files and enjoyed them enough to buy the album. I
visited the Houndawg music site and found the Podcast interview with Dennis Hays
which adds a completely different perspective to the musicians, the music and
it's roots. Not only was it very educational, but it gave me a much better
appreciation of the music and lyrics!"
Brian Walsh GREAT
CD!!
"The CD is just great - great songs, great
singer, great guitar!!!". Beto - Brazil OH YEA ! THIS IS THE BUSINESS "I first heard these cats on MP.com AU and was amazed at the vocals and great guitar work. It really is refreshing to hear a whole new approach to what is my favourite style of music. Every song on this album has something special to offer, taking you on a journey from Texas to the Deep South and all points in between. Well done SJ & BV. Let's have another one as soon as possible". Swampcat
A NEW FAVORITE "Rich lyrics, amazing guitar . . . a new favourite!" BP
REAL GRITTY STYLE OF BLUES "I consider myself quite well versed in appreciation of the blues and this album takes the genre to a whole new level. The songs are witty, informative and certainly held my attention right to the end. Slapback Jack has a great earthbound quality to his voice and the Guitar playing of Bad Voodoo is about as good as it gets. You gotta add this album to your collection". Anthony Jay
GREAT GRUFF BLUES!! "I have heard these guy's on various download sites. They were always on or around the top positions, but when I heard this CD, it gave their music a whole new dimension in quality and gruffness. This is one I will listen to and enjoy for a long time". J. Olson
GET BACK, SLAPBACK! "I like most kinds of music, from country…all the way down; but I must admit that "blues" was not at the top of my "like list" when I first received a copy of this album as a gift. Then I popped it into my CD player one afternoon as I headed home from work. From the beginning to the end of the album, I heard some great grinin' and toe tapin' sounds. Gruff Side Of The Blues contains soul-felt story telling accompanied by some amazing guitar. I also appreciated the variety and mix of songs that, like a well-paced movie, had me eager for the next track as soon as one ended. Blues has moved up my like list now, at least the "gruff side." Okay Slapback, let's hear another one". JB
